Reshaping the corneal surface with a laser to reduce myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism. Suitability is decided by a preliminary assessment.

For high prescriptions unsuited to laser, a corrective lens is placed inside the eye while the natural lens is left in place.

Establishing the prescription with an autorefractor and trial lenses, confirmed with a cycloplegic measurement where needed.
