Reshaping the corneal surface with a laser to reduce myopia, hyperopia and astigmatism. Suitability is decided by a preliminary assessment.

Following the thinning and forward steepening of the cornea through corneal mapping, and planning to halt its progression.

Establishing the prescription with an autorefractor and trial lenses, confirmed with a cycloplegic measurement where needed.
